Vacationers Can Turn The Tables On Casinos With Coupons

Monday December 1, 2003
(PRWEB) The author of America's #1 bestselling book on the subject of casino travel explains how travelers can use coupons to make money at casinos.

Vacationers going to casinos can often take advantage of coupons that will actually give them an edge over the casino says the author of America's #1 bestselling book on casino gambling and travel.

Many casinos give out coupon books that contain special offers for food, drinks, shows and even gambling bets says Steve Bourie, author of the 2003 edition of "American Casino Guide" ($14.95 at bookstores and participating AAA offices, or call 800-741-1596).

“The best deals," says Bourie, "are gambling coupons that give you a bonus on a winning bet at the table games. They won’t be for a lot of money, usually $2 for $1, $3 for $2, or $7 for $5, but because they pay you extra money on what is essentially an even-money bet, you actually have a huge mathematical edge over the casino.

"Statistically, anyone using gambling coupons will probably lose a few more bets than they win but because of the coupon bonus they'll still end up winning money."

He uses coupons himself and says "in Las Vegas my friend and I won $41 in one day using coupons at 16 different casinos even though we only won 35 out of the 76 bets we made. In another case my wife and I won $76 after winning just 38 of 78 bets. Plus, both times we also got free food, drinks and some souvenir items to take home. It really is a great way for vacationers to have a lot of fun at a variety of casinos without risking a lot of money.”

Bourie worked as an executive in the gambling industry for more than 25 years and wrote the first edition of his annual guide in 1992. His 432-page 2003 edition covers 33 states and lists information on more than 600 casinos - every casino/resort in the United States, plus all Indian and riverboat casinos.

Besides listing detailed information on every casino, the book includes state maps showing where each casino is located, as well as detailed maps of five major gaming areas: Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, Biloxi and Tunica.

The guide include strategies for winning at blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat; how electronic gaming machines work; how to find the best paying machines; how players are rated by casinos; and how to take advantage of casino promotions.

A popular feature of the guide is a special coupon section that includes 131 coupons providing more than $1,000 in savings at casinos and travel companies in all of America's major gaming centers. Included are offers for FREE: betting money, buffets, shows, bus tours, fun books and more.

The 2003 edition of "American Casino Guide" is $14.95 at bookstores, participating AAA offices, Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, americancasinoguide.com, or by calling 800-741-1596.
