Definition: Proof of Purchase. When sending in a refund or rebate form the manufacturer will often request a specific type of "proof of purchase" to be sent with the refund form. It is generally the original "UPC" code, the neck band, or a particular seal or symbol on the package. On refunder's lists you often see it to describe what is required in order to redeem a rebate or refund.
