Step Four - Homework

Assignment:
Using real coupons clipped from a newspaper, magazine or food package, go to the store with a parent and find the product and use the coupon(s) when checking out at the register. Bring the cash register receipt to class. The student who uses the most coupons for the most savings wins a prize (Limit - $10.00)

Suggested prizes
A small piggybank with the amount of money the student saved using coupons. Have the students count out together as the coins are put into the piggybank. In case more than one student wins, have them draw straws for the piggybank.

Give each student the amount they saved in pretend money.

For each dollar the student saved award them with a piece of candy.
