Create Food Sculpture Then Eat It
There is nothing better then gooey, yummy stuff to motivate creativity.

By Donna L Montaldo, About.com

My mother would let us choose from a smorgasbord of junk food like gum drops, peanut butter, chips, pretzels, M&Ms, marshmallows - whatever we could think of that might be sticky or colorful. She would give us a category, such as animals, and we would set out to sculpture something related to the category with all our gooey candy. The best part was, that once we finished, we got to eat our sculptures.

As you can see, I grew up in the pre-healthy food era (and boy am I glad) but with the emphasis now on developing healthy eating habits, you could always replace the gooey stuff with more nutritional foods such as carrots, cauliflower buds and celery and stick it all together with something gooey like, low-fat cream cheese. (blek!)

I don't know about you, but I'm going to stick with the original recipe. Next Low-Cost Summer Activity
