Like to eat out on the cheap? Instead of hitting Burger King, you may want to give Costco's or Ikea a try. According to reporter Ellen Lee with CNBC.com, food courts at warehouse stores are giving the fast-food chains a run for their money from frugal diners.
What's the appeal? The menu prices are pretty amazing for starters. At Cosco's you can munch on chicken bake for $2.99 or grab a big hot dog and 20-oz soda for $1.50, plus get free refills.
At Ikea's restaurants you can get a meal, a snack, dessert or just a quick cup of coffee. For breakfast you can order scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes for just $0.99 and go back for lunch and order the 15 meatballs served with mashed potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberries for just $3.99.
So the next time you need new furniture or decide to spruce up your old furniture with a coat of paint, you may want to coordinate your trip with mealtime.
