Free Flu Shots

By September 9, 2010

Follow me on:

CVS announced this week that they will be giving away up to $5 million in free flu shots to people without health insurance.

The company said beginning September 20, 2010, CVS free flu shot vouchers for the uninsured will be available at participating community clinic and health centers for their existing patients. Names and locations of participating clinics will be made available on September 20.

Walgreens will also be giving away up to $1 million in vouchers for free flu shots.

Don't Qualify for a Free Shot?

If you do not qualify for the free flu shots you can still find additional savings through CVS, Walgreen Co. and Rite Aid Corp.

Walgreen currently has a promotion in many locations where customers can receive a free flu shot if they purchase $30 on select cold, stomach and eye care products.

Anyone getting a flu shot at Rite Aid will receive a free coupon booklet that offers over $100 in savings, while supplies last. The booklet includes savings on health and wellness, beauty and household items and other products available at Rite Aid.

CVS ExtraCare cardholders who receive a flu shot at CVS/pharmacy or MinuteClinic will also receive a one-time 10 percent discount on non-pharmacy purchases up to $100 at CVS/pharmacy, except where otherwise prohibited by law.

Compare the Cost of Flu Shots

  • Walgreens - $29.99
  • CVS - $29.95
  • Rite Aid - $24.99
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only one flu shot will be required this season for protection against both H1N1 and seasonal flu. Each year, flu vaccine is manufactured to protect against the three viruses or flu strains that research suggests will be most common. The 2010-2011 vaccine will protect against the 2009 H1N1 virus, an influenza A H3N2 virus and an influenza B virus.

The decision whether or not to get a flu shot should not be taken lightly.
The affects of the flu shot could be worse than the flu.
Flu vaccines have caused crippling, serious hospitalizations, miscarriages and even death.
Before you get injected with a toxic flu shot that is suppose to protect you from last year’s flu strains, get the facts. You can google “vaccine ingredients”, or download the manufactures vaccine inserts at nciv.org

Not getting the shot is much more dangerous…these anti-vaccine extremists are responsible for the outbreak of Pertussis (Whooping cough) ,etc. The vast preponderence of SCIENTIFIC evidence proves the overwhelming safety of vaccines over not getting them!
