Dollar General Launches New Clothing Line

By February 16, 2010

Follow me on:

Dollar General will be launching four new lines of clothing this spring. Bobbie Brooks, which will feature casual, trend-right fashions for women along will be in the stores by spring, along with three other brands - Bobbie Brooks Girls, Open Trails Men and Open Trails Boys.

I am assuming that the Bobbie Brooks line will be much the same as the Bobbie Brooks line that Wal-Mart once carried. It was quite popular because it was comfortable and stylish and priced reasonably, but for some reason Wal-Mart dropped the line. If it is the same Bobbie Brooks, kudos to Dollar General for getting into the business.

A fun twist to the launch of the new Bobbie Brooks line is that Dollar General has decided to find employees to model the line in its national ads. Giving its employees the opportunity to step into the spotlight and become a model, Dollar General will select 10 employees to represent the brand in its advertising and other promotions. Dollar General will reveal winners of its Bobbie Brooks model search in late spring.

I have bought a few things from the Bobbie Brooks line at Dollar General. They fit well, look good, are comfortable and very affordable. I usually wait until they are half off. They then beat Goodwill prices.

I have tried the Bobbie Brooks line at Dollar General. I am an “upscale” shopper, but admired the slacks on someone who sent me to Dollar General. i bought several pair. They fit well, look stylish, and launder well –much like the expensive line I usually buy. I am going back for more, because I know I will be packing these for travel this summer.

I am looking for Bobbie Brooks cotton/polyster ladies slacks
Cut#48628/21226 size Med/Tall. Hope the numbers are right. I have had a long time & tag is hard to read. Other numbers on tag are 727097-20022 in a Woodland Brown. They are very comfortable. I probably bought at Wal Mart, but not sure. Thanks!
