Elvis Is in the House...or Will be Soon

It has nearly been 31 years since Elvis Presley died, but his legacy is still alive and well. A special release of “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas,’ with never before seen bonus material, will be made available exclusively through Wal-Mart stores and Sam´s Club, beginning August 12, 2008 on both DVD ($10) and hi-definition Blu-ray for ($19). Purchases also will be available online through Walmart.com and Samsclub.com.

Hosted by Emmy award winning broadcast journalist Elizabeth Vargas, the DVD special, produced in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., will incorporate rarely seen footage of Elvis performing in Las Vegas, revealing interviews with those closest to him, and special performances from some of today's top recording stars singing Elvis' Vegas classics.

The Kick Off Party

To celebrate this DVD event, an exclusive launch party for “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas’ will take place on the grounds of Graceland on the evening of August 11, 2008 during “Elvis Week’ in Memphis, Tennessee. The kick off party will feature previews of “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas’ in addition to appearances by Jerry Schilling and George Klein who were members of Elvis´ entourage known as the Memphis Mafia and who appear in the special as interview guests.

Two Hour Television Event

CMT will premiere the two hour television event, “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas,’ on Monday, August 11th at 8PM ET.
