Kroger Expands Its Gas Discount Program
Customers can now accumulate and redeem fuel discounts throughout Kroger’s divisions.
Kroger shoppers can now accumulate and redeem gas discounts they earn by shopping at Kroger-owned stores at participating gas stations the retailer operates across the country. Most of the fuel discount programs offered by Kroger reward customers with a minimum of 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every $100 they spend in a store.
The fuel discount programs are available and transferable at Kroger stores nationwide under the following banners: Kroger, Baker’s, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Gerbes, Hilander, Jay C, King Soopers, Owen’s, Pay Less, QFC, Ralphs, Scott’s, and Smith’s stores.
Shoppers who use Kroger’s 1-2-3 REWARDS Mastercard can earn discounts up to 15 cents off per gallon of gas in participating markets.
Enhancing the fuel discount program is the latest in a series of initiatives Kroger has introduced or expanded to help customers save money on groceries, health care and other household staples. Other programs include:
- Expanding Kroger’s $4 generic drug program to include 90-day prescriptions for only $10.
- Launching a tax relief gift card program that offers customers free groceries when they turn their economic stimulus checks or direct deposits into Kroger gift cards.
- Kroger’s expansion of quality private label products offered at great prices found exclusively in the retailer’s family of stores.

We were told that you only got one fill up at the 10 cent per gallon discount. I thought you got to buy $100 worth of gas at that rate! It was disgusting.
I only wish they had more station to get the gas I only no of two in the DFW area in Texas
I would like to see more Kroger filling stations sell Ethanol85 (FlexFuel) for use in GM vehicles. It is very hard to find around Cincinnati and I did find one pump at the Hyde Park Kroger but not at the Anderson Township one. The Anderson Township Kroger is the largest Kroger market in the world and its odd that they are adding more fuel pumps but none Ethanol.
Ethanol burns 15% less efficient than gas. Check Fueleconomy.gov and compare. Would you want your car to get 15% worse gas mileage? WWJD? Burn food while poverty stricken nations starve? Shame on us!
Cindy- In my area, for each $100 in groceries I buy AT Krogers using my 1-2-3 Rewards Card registration/scan, I get a 15 cent-a-gallon discount AT the Krogers self-serve fuel center. As far as I know there is no limit on the amount of gasoline you can buy AT A GIVEN TIME for each $100 worth of groceries you purchased. I usually have several 5 gallon gas containers in the trunk of my car and after filling them I then fill my car’s tank. I suspect, though, that if I tried to also fill my wife’s car’s gas tank before I shut the pump off “they” would call my hand on it, if “they noticed it. I DO NOT have to charge my Kroger groceries to my Kroger card. I can pay cash or charge to another credit card after my Kroger card code has been scanned. I have until the end of the month following that of my Krogers groceries purchase to “use” my gasoline discount. Any overage of $100 increments is lost after that. Thus if I buy only $175 in Kroger groceries in August I have until the end of September to use my $100 qualification. The $75 is not carried over to Sept. nor thereafter. Charging gasoline, pharmaceuticals and beer do not qualify for the $100 minimum needed to get the discount at the gas pump.
While I enjoy shopping at Krogers there are very few of the gas station facilities close at hand. It would be nice to have a map that actually identified which are the fuel locations also and a few more of them. I like Kroger and the quality foods I purchase just have a hard time getting too the gas facilities.
