Postal Worker Caught Stealing Coupons
Krajewski, a mail processor at the center, was seen by postal inspectors putting mail from tobacco companies into a trash can then later putting them into his lunch container.
After the incident, Krajewski was interviewed by the postal inspectors, at which time he admitted to stealing coupons for three years. He sold the coupons to various store owners for about 30 percent of their value, an amount figured at close to $10,000.
According to the complaint, inspectors searching his lunch carrier found 134 pieces of stolen mail, of those 127 were from tobacco companies. The stolen mail was what Krajewski had managed to steal in one day.
Krajewski was charged with stealing mail and embezzlement. Both are federal crimes.
