Prostitutes Collect Coupons as Payment

Is this a case of creative business strategy? Thinking out of the box? Apparently business has become so slow for prostitutes in Romania that they have begun taking alternate forms of payment. They are now accepting food coupons as a form of payment for their services.

One of the prostitutes, Elena, told Curierul newspaper: “I have been doing this job here for about two years and lately our clients are very few. So we had this idea: maybe men will be happier to come to us if they don’t have to give us money which may be monitored by wives.”

Not only does collecting coupons help with their food bill but they can actually make money by selling half of their coupon stash for less then the market value.

Some companies in Romania give their employees food coupons as a supplement to their normal pay.

Now I don't know about you, but I would be really mad if my husband gave away my coupons! :)
