The event, held at the legendary Carolines on Broadway, showcased four up-and-coming female comedians who developed original comic routines on the perils of hair removal.

Participating rising stars of female comedy included: Bayne Gibby; Jennifer Hyjack; Jennifer Wehrung; and Amanda Melson. Bayne Gibby was selected the winning comedienne for her tongue-and-cheek ballad that described her first experience with a razor. Using her father's razor without any soap or cream, she ended up with a huge gash on her leg. Embarrassed by her carelessness, she lied to schoolmates that it was a raccoon -- not a razor --that inflicted the damage!

Judging these "Hair Removal Monologues" were: Christin Lambert, Senior Brand Manager, Personal Care, Reckitt Benckiser; Laurie Kilmartin, seasoned comic and writer for Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn;" and Bryan Kennedy, host of "The New Class Clowns" at Carolines on Broadway. Christine Nagy, on-air personality for WHTZ-FM's (100.3) "Z Morning Zoo," served as emcee for the Veet Bladeless Razor launch event.
