Finding RV Parks and Campgrounds Made Easier for 2004

Searching for a place to stay while traveling just got easier for RVers. The 2004 editions of the Trailer Life (TL) Campground, RV Parks & Services Directory and the companion Trailer Life Campground Finder CD-ROM hit the shelves of bookstores and online stores just after the first of the year.

The 2004 TL Directory lists over 12,000 RV Parks and over 1 million RV sites. The 2004 RV Campground Finder on CD-ROM provides every U.S. listing found in the 2004 Trailer Life Directory as well as several user-friendly interactive applications.

"The TL Directory is more than a handy resource for RVers," said Joe Daquino, Affinity Group, Inc.'s (AGI) Multimedia Division Vice-President and TL Directory Publisher. "It is a necessary tool for the road."

The 2004 Edition features all Good Sam Park discount locations along with 56 full color maps. Good Sam Club members get a 10% discount at all Good Sam Parks. With nearly 1 million members, the Club members have a large impact on occupancy at RV parks and campgrounds.

RV parks and campgrounds are rated in the Directory. "Our ratings system is highly respected and used by RVers throughout the United States," stated Daquino. "The exclusive Triple Rating System helps them select the campgrounds and services that best meet their needs while they are on the road."

The current TL Directory system is a unique three-part method of rating RV Parks. The Parks are rated on a one to ten scale for three different attributes: facilities, restroom construction and cleanliness, and visual appeal. TL Directory is the most quoted resource in the national media when RV park and campground rankings are needed.

Several new features can be found in the 2004 Edition. With the proliferation of the Internet and email, expanded modem information about hookups is included. The Directory even goes so far as to indicate which campgrounds have a central computer location for customers only.

The new listing layouts have been reprioritized to show if pets are allowed, if it's a 55+ campground or if it's a seasonal facility. Road Sense is a weekly online update that provides information on current road construction, steep grades, bridge conditions, etc. so an RVer can re- route for safety and speed.
